Family Companion

Coming This Fall For 2026/27!

The Family Companion is a new and welcoming component of the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies Catholic Faith Formation program.

It was created to make faith formation approachable, practical, and meaningful for families. Designed for use at home or in the classroom, this resource supports parents as the primary teachers of faith while actively engaging children through prayer, conversation, and simple activities rooted in the Sunday Gospel.

Whether shared during family time, used by catechists to support lessons, or offered as a guide for parents, the Family Companion helps faith come alive in everyday life.

The Family Companion includes:

1. Weekly Gospel reflections, Eucharist quotes, prayers, and activities.
2. Monthly pages on saints and Catholic identity projects.
3. Parent articles on living the faith at home, in church, and in the world.
4. Background on the current Liturgical Year and Mass readings.
5. Doctrinal summaries and practical tips for guiding children’s faith.
6. A mini family catechism covering the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
7. Catholic prayers and practices.
8. A master glossary of Catholic Faith Words.
